LC Energy was established in 2007 with a clear purpose: to create value from responsibly managed woodland while developing secure, locally distributed supplies of renewable wood fuel.

Since then, the business has grown from its roots in Surrey to supply wood chip and wood pellets to customers ranging from domestic biomass users to schools, universities, farms, hotels and major commercial sites.

Our approach to sustainability extends beyond the fuel we supply. From responsible timber sourcing and recognised fuel standards to B Corp certification and carbon reporting support, we aim to make environmental responsibility part of how LC Energy operates.

LC Energy is a Certified B Corporation, recognising our commitment to balancing people, planet and profit. B Corp certification assesses a company’s impact across areas including governance, workers, community, customers and the environment.

Responsible sourcing is central to our wood fuel supply. We work with sustainably managed UK woodland and established supply chains to provide wood chip and pellets with a clear focus on quality, traceability and responsible woodland management.

Quality and consistency are essential for efficient biomass heating. Our wood fuel is supplied in line with recognised industry standards and certifications, including ENplus A1 for our wood pellets and relevant Woodsure and Biomass Suppliers List requirements where applicable.

Through our relationship with 5D Sustainability, we can connect organisations with specialist support for carbon reporting and wider sustainability objectives. This complements LC Energy’s core focus on responsible wood fuel supply and environmental performance.
